Netflix Unveils First Look at Bridgerton Season 4

Benophie fans, rejoice! Netflix has released a teaser clip and images from season 4 of Bridgerton, which is currently in production. This season will follow Luke Thompson’s Benedict, the free-spirited second Bridgerton son who has long avoided commitment—until he meets Sophie Baek (newcomer Yerin Ha), the mysterious “Lady in Silver,” at Lady Bridgerton’s masquerade ball.
At a Valentine’s Day event in London, Bridgerton showrunner Jess Brownell revealed that Season 4 will be the most “faithful” adaptation of Julia Quinn’s novels yet, drawing specifically from An Offer From a Gentleman. The premiere will open with the much-anticipated masquerade ball, setting the stage for Benedict and Sophie’s meet-cute.
This season will explore the era’s social divisions, particularly through Sophie’s lower-class background—Netflix describes Ha’s character as “a resourceful maid with her own secrets and dreams.” It will also follow the romance between Lady Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell) and Lord Marcus Anderson (Daniel Francis), plus more of Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin’s (Luke Newton) new baby.
New cast members this season include Isabella Wei (Posy Li), Michelle Mao (Rosamund Li), and Katie Leung (Lady Araminta Gun). Returning are Jonathan Bailey (Anthony), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), Julie Andrews (Lady Whistledown), Ruth Gemmell (Violet Bridgerton), Florence Hunt (Hyacinth Bridgerton), Claudia Jessie (Eloise Bridgerton), Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), Will Tilston (Gregory Bridgerton), Polly Walker (Portia Featherington), Emma Naomi (Alice Mondrich), Hannah Dodd (Francesca Stirling), Daniel Francis (Lord Marcus Anderson), Lorraine Ashbourne (Mrs. Varley), Victor Alli (Lord John Stirling), Masali Baduza (Michaela Stirling), Martins Imhangbe (Will Mondrich), and Hugh Sachs (Brimsley). Simone Ashley (Kate Sharma) has also confirmed her return; Kanthony fans, rest easy.
The new season will span eight episodes, with Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Tom Verica, and Chris Van Dusen as executive producers. While a release date is still TBD, we’re hopeful that Season 4 will sweep us off our feet.
