Exclusive Sneak Peek: Doctor Star & The Kingdom of Lost Tomorrows
Jeff Lemire & Max Fuimara Take the Black Hammer Universe to the Stars
Main Art by Max Fuimara & Dave Stewart
Sweet Tooth cartoonist and upcoming The Terrifics writer Jeff Lemire’s very own cape-comic universe continues to expand this March with artist Max Fuimara and colorist Dave Stewart in the pages of Doctor Star & The Kingdom of Lost Tomorrows. Seemingly inspired by DC’s Starman, Doctor Star & The Kingdom of Lost Tomorrows builds on the themes of core series Black Hammer (one of our five favorite comics of 2017) to tell dual father/son stories set during this universe’s Golden Age and the present day. Fiumara rotated with his brother on Dark Horse’s Abe Sapien series and brings a haunted, smoky style to Lemire’s tale of cosmically powered super-family drama, aided by Stewart’s iconic color work. The preview pages below will appear in print in the back of fellow spin-off title Sherlock Frankenstein & The Legion of Evil #4, but Paste readers can enjoy this exclusive sneak peek before books hit stands.
