This week, on the heels of her new single “Abracadabra,” which she premiered during the recent Grammys ceremony, Lady Gaga has officially become Spotify’s most-streamed female artist. Gaga surpassed Ariana Grande’s record on February 18, reaching a total number of 123,736,959 monthly listeners. Only two other artists on the app have higher counts, the Weeknd and Gaga’s “Die With a Smile” collaborator, Bruno Mars. Grande set the record in December 2024 after she passed Taylor Swift’s mark of 116 million listeners.

The news is just another feather in Gaga’s cap this year, as “Die With a Smile” currently sits in the Top 5 on the Hot 100 and “Abracadabra” is at #29 and #1 on the Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart. Both songs will be featured on the pop star’s forthcoming new album, Mayhem, which will come out March 7 via Interscope. Yesterday, Gaga unveiled the tracklist for the record, which features a collaboration with Gesaffelstein called “Killah.”

But that’s not the only thing happening with Gaga. On March 8, she will pull double duty as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live. She was in New York for the show’s recent 50th anniversary, performing “D*ck in a Box” with Andy Samberg.
