Saturday Night Live is rolling out its post-anniversary lineup, with NBC announcing the first two hosts following the series’ weekend celebrations. Kicking things off is comedian Shane Gillis, best known for being hired—and almost immediately fired—by SNL in 2019

Gillis joined the cast four years ago, but was let go after clips of him using racist and homophobic slurs resurfaced. Gillis has since built a large following through his stand-up and podcast with comedian Matt McCusker, Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast. He also co-created the Netflix series Tires, which returns for its second season this year. Gillis’s return to SNL on March 1 marks his second time hosting the show, after debuting last season. He’ll be joined by musical guest Tate McRae, whose third album, So Close To What, drops February 21.

On March 8, SNL is bringing in Lady Gaga, who will return to Studio 8H as both host and musical guest. Fresh off her bravura performance of “Dick in a Box” at the SNL anniversary concert at Radio City Music Hall, Gaga is gearing up for the release of her next album, Mayhem, which lands on March 7. The 14-time Grammy winner will also headline Coachella in April. This will mark her second time as host and fifth as musical guest.

Gillis, McRae, and Gaga will kick off the home stretch of SNL’s 50th season, an anniversary that was celebrated in typical hit-or-miss fashion last weekend. What kind of surprises await during the season’s final months? We’ll find out in the weeks to come.
