Orange Is The New Black Gets Renewed for 3 More Seasons
Netflix woke its Twitter followers up today with a short but very, very sweet message:
Our sentence has been extended. 3 more seasons, bitches. @OITNBhttps://t.co/AkMS9sdN2B
— Netflix US (@netflix) February 5, 2016
This isn’t surprising by any means—according to The Hollywood Reporter, OITNB is the biggest show on the streaming giant—but it’s peace of mind for the show’s fans and creator/executive producer Jenji Kohan, who will continue to run the critically-acclaimed show for the duration of its extension.
“Three more years! Not quite a political term, but still plenty of time to do some interesting things,” said Kohan in a statement. “In some cultures, ‘May you lead an interesting life,’ is a curse, but I don’t live in those cultures. Here’s to keeping it interesting.”
The fourth season of Orange Is The New Black premieres on Jun. 17.
