Kendrick Lamar Released A Surprise New Album Last Night, Now Streaming

King Kendrick never ceases to amaze. Last night, the Compton MC surprised the world with the release of untitled unmastered., the follow-up to his 2015 masterpiece To Pimp A Butterfly.

All the tracks on untitled unmastered. are (surprise) untitled, numbered from 01 to 08 and labeled with dates that presumably demarcate when Kendrick wrote the lyrics, or maybe when the songs were recorded—no one really knows yet. We do know that “untitled 03 | 05.28.13.” originally debuted on The Colbert Report in December 2014, and “untitled 08 | 09.06.14.” and the second verse of “untitled 02 | 06.23.14.” were performed as one song this January on The Tonight Show. Also, “untitled 07 | 2014-2016” was produced by Swizz Beats’ five-year-old son, Egypt Dean.
