It’s a Christmas f*cking miracle: Nearly a year after the surprise Christmas Eve release of Run the Jewels 3, Killer Mike and El-P are masterminding their follow-up. El-P teased the duo’s “fithy [sic], dirty, dusty plans” for their fourth album in a brief tweet Monday afternoon.

Run the Jewels have been hitting nothing but home runs since they got together in 2013, with RTJ, RTJ 2 and RTJ 3—their latest (and arguably greatest)—establishing Killer Mike and El-P as a hip-hop alliance for the ages. RTJ 3 (though technically released in 2016) landed near the top of our list of 2017’s best albums—Stephen F. Kearse wrote in his review that the album “levels up even further, the ‘fuck’s much louder and the ‘you’s incisively specific.” So any news of the next episode comes as incredibly exciting.
RTJ have had a busy year of touring (see below) and just landed a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Song after featuring on Danger Mouse’s “Chase Me,” from the Baby Driver soundtrack.
