Watch First Trailer for Clint Eastwood-Directed, Tom Hanks-Starring Sully

Tom Hanks is yet again playing a captain in crisis.

This go-around, the Captain Phillips star is cast as Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger.

The first trailer for the Clint Eastwood-directed Sully premiered Wednesday.

In 2009, Sully landed an Airbus A320 in the Hudson River after hitting a flock of birds, saving all 155 passengers. While the captain was seen as a hero by the public, an investigation into the incident threatened his career.

Two-time Oscar winner Hanks stars as the titular protagonist, Aaron Eckhart plays his co-pilot and Laura Linney is cast as Sully’s wife.

Sully is due out Sept. 9. Watch the trailer above.
