Warning! The science-fiction world may explode if the following comes to fruition. Mark Hamill, the man who brought Luke Skywalker to life, may join the cast of the forthcoming Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3.
James Gunn, the writer and director of this hugely successful Marvel franchise, made this announcement via Twitter after a fan tagged him and Hamill in a post. The fan began by asking if Gunn would put Hamill in the next Guardians of the Galaxy film. A couple of hours later, Gunn responded on Twitter saying that Hamill lives close to him in Malibu and that they might hang out and talk about it. Hamill, to no surprise, was immediately interested.
The Twitter conversation included a bunch of hilarious and great replies and even drew the attention of fellow actor Josh Gad. See the full Twitter conversation below.
@JamesGunn, could you do me a huge favour and find a role for @HamillHimself in Guardians 3? The awesomeness of it might end me, but I’m willing to risk it. Thanks ????????

I think @HamillHimself lives around the corner from me in Malibu so he can just come over and we can talk about it over a cup of coffee.

I would be happy to do so, both as a good neighbor & an unemployed actor.
All the best, mh— Mark Hamill (@HamillHimself) February 26, 2018
Haha let’s do it.
