Watch the Creepy Trailer for Netflix Psychological Thriller Rebirth

When a group repeatedly chants “Not a cult! Not a cult!” you can sure as hell bet that they are a cult.

This “not a cult” cult is called Rebirth and is the center of the new Netflix original film from writer-director Karl Mueller that is also called Rebirth.

The film follows a 9-to-5 working suburban dad named Kyle, played by Fran Kranz, who reconnects with an old college buddy, Zack, played by Adam Goldberg. Zack convinces Kyle to enlist in a self-actualization program called Rebirth. As he experiences seduction, violence and drama in Rebirth, Kyle becomes desperate to escape the crazed leaders and members in this twisted psychological thriller.

Netflix acquired Rebirth last fall, along with a number of other indie films. According to Collider, Rebirth will be the streaming giant’s canary in the coalmine that is their burgeoning indie film initiative.
