Last month, we premiered the lead single from Diners’ brand new LP DOMINO. Now, Blue Broderick has returned with another offering from the soon-to-be-instant-classic power-pop record. The title track arrives with the length of a mid-20th-century chart-topping hit, clocking in at 2:33 under an energetic, feedback-laced guitar arrangement that is so jubilant and perfect that you’ll be humming its melody all week long.
“The look on your face thinking how it’s all unfolded,” Broderick sings. “Gonna live to see another day with eyes and arms wide open.” The Mo Troper-produced tune exudes flickers of doo-wop, surf tones and hypnotic, glamorous rock ‘n’ roll. Broderick says of DOMINO: “This is the rock record that I always wanted to make. I know that any time I turn it on, it’s what I set out to do.”
