illuminati hotties are back with a new song just in time for the new year. Like the October standout “ppl plzr” and March Daily Dose pick “I Wanna Keep Your Dog,” “post-everything” is a standalone single with a whole lot of heart.
Frontwoman Sarah Tudzin shared the soft acoustic track via Twitter Tuesday, stating that it’s “about the apocalypse.” She also summed up her experience of 2019, calling it the “absolute Best & absolute Worst year” of her life:
2019 was somehow the absolute Best & absolute Worst year of my life
so here’s a song about the apocalypse: https://t.co/6EQiOUBILQ
thank u to everyone who was a part of this wild year/decade/lifetime

“post-everything” definitely ends the year on an apocalyptic note. “I think we’re doomed,” sings Tudzin, who recalls snippets of encounters with street-dwelling strangers ranting about reckoning, truth and the existence of God. But as always with illuminati hotties, there’s a hopeful sweetness, too.
