Kate Nash Releases Electropop Single “Bad Lieutenant”

Fresh off her newly debuted documentary, English pop mainstay Kate Nash has released a keyboard-driven, electropop single titled “Bad Lieutenant.”

“Bad Lieutenant” is the second single the musician has released as a follow-up to 2018’s Yesterday Was Forever, Nash’s first full-length after a five-year hiatus and taking up a starring role in Netflix’s GLOW.

The single unfolds like an Easy Bake oven club hit in a bottle. It’s has the Kate Nash jitters, with punchy and empowering lyrics, and brassy vocals, but it’s an interesting, electro-heavy sonic break from her preceding grungier, guitar-driven single “Trash.”

The new single arrived with a “sexy cliché pop” music video for her 2018 track “Body Heat” and the debut of the musician’s Kate Nash: Underestimate The Girl documentary on BBC 3 in the U.K.
