Slowdive Release “skin in the game”

Shoegaze legends Slowdive have released the newest offering from their upcoming LP everything is alive, out September 1 via Dead Oceans. “skin in the game” is a cinematic, universe-spanning lamentation; a swirling, cathartic exorcism of impossible feeling. Lyrically and sonically poetic, it’s a reminder of the beauty of Slowdive’s quieter side, simultaneously subdued and poignant. The instrumental perfectly wraps around Neil Halstead’s levitating vocal and Rachel Goswell’s euphoric harmonies.

everything is alive is the band’s fifth LP, one that is emotional and multivalent and shows the staying power of a band who have made music together for over three decades.
