The Avalanches Announce They’ve Begun Work On A New Album

Australian electronic ensemble The Avalanches confirmed today, after some previous teasing, that they have begun working on a new record. In an Instagram post, Robby Charter and Tony Diblasi captioned an image of stacks of vinyl records with “LP#3- Day 1.”

The band recently wrapped up their first-ever North American tour in support of their sophomore album Wildflower, which came out in 2016—only a short 16 years after their debut Since I Left You—and made it onto our list of the 50 best albums of 2016.

Check out The Avalanches’ Instagram post below, and further down revisit the starkly animated video for “Subways” off of their latest album. You can also read our Wildflower review here.
