The National returned to late-night television with an emotive, haunting rendition of their track “Oblivions” on The Tonight Show’s Monday night episode.
Frontman Matt Berninger brought his signature baritone to harmonize with French folk singer Mina Tindle, as done on the original recording.
Brooklyn Youth Chorus provided backing vocals for the performance. LANZ, James McAlister and Kyle Resnick were also featured guests.

Band members Aaron Dessner and Bryce Dessner (guitar, piano, keyboards), Scott Devendorf (bass) and Bryan Devendorf (drums) can also be seen in the video below.
“Oblivions” is a song off I Am Easy to Find, The National’s eighth full-length studio album, released in May of this year via 4AD.
The album, described in a June 6 tweet from the group to be their “most collaborative work to date,” features vocals from Sharon Van Etten and Lisa Hannigan, among others.
I Am Easy to Find is our most collaborative work to date. Our @Deezer Mixtape features music from many of our friends who helped make the album, as well as some of our favorite artists and influences.https://t.co/W0JXeo2rjlpic.twitter.com/QB0q6HlnAB
