The 17-show tour kicks off in Chicago next month, with all the cities from the previously postponed shows included among the new itinerary. Fans will also get an extra treat for their wait: a brand-new tour date that will take the Stones to New Orleans. Tickets for the New Orleans show will go on sale at 10 a.m. on May 31.
Tickets sold for the original dates will still be usable, so concertgoers won’t have to worry about exchanging their tickets. But if they can’t attend the rescheduled dates, fans will get full refunds through their Ticketmaster accounts.
The Stones were originally slated to begin touring April 20 in Miami, but postponed their U.S. stadium tour six weeks ago to give Mick Jagger time to undergo and recover from heart surgery to replace a heart valve.
“I really hate letting you down like this,” Jagger said in a statement at the time. “I’m devastated for having to postpone the tour but I will be working very hard to be back on stage as soon as I can.”
But Jagger has been back and kicking since, sharing an Instagram video of him busting a move during rehearsals last Wednesday.
