Georgia Republicans Are Currently Waging a War to See Who Can Be the Most Racist on TV

There’s a governor’s race happening in Georgia, and judging by the tactics of the candidates competing in the Republican primary, it’s all coming down to which one of them can publicly hate immigrants the most. For starters, look at this buffoon:
If you can’t watch the video, that’s a campaign ad featuring Brian Kemp, Georgia’s current secretary of state and gubernatorial hopeful. For his tagline, he chose: “If you want a politically incorrect conservative, that’s me.” This desperate attempt to cultivate Trump supporters, and cast himself as the Georgian Trump, yields one particularly ugly sequence. From Mother Jones:
Brian Kemp…suggests he intends to personally detain and remove immigrants from the country. “I got a big truck,” he says, climbing into a pick-up truck, “just in case I need to round up criminal illegals and take ’em home myself.” He then adds with a smirk: “Yep, I just said that.”
Just like Trump, folks! Minus even an ounce of charisma, that is. But if you thought Kemp was going to distinguish himself as the most racist candidate seeking that specific office, you’ve got another think coming. Because state Sen. Michael Williams, who is running against Kemp, heard “deportation truck” and said “hold my beer”:
