I can hear the bells. After the success of its live adaptation of The Wiz, NBC considered shows such as The Music Man and A Few Good Men for their next live musical production. You can’t stop the beat, apparently, because they ended up going with the musical based on John Waters 1988 film, Hairspray. Say good morning Baltimore to the nicest kids in town in the musical adaptation from Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. No news on casting yet, but Oscar Isaac is definitely the ladies’ choice for Link.
