Clearly irked by those tone-deaf workers at Maxwell House bastardizing their best-known hit, the men of ska-revival group Madness are officially bringing the team back together.
"Somewhere in that grey area, outside the norms of the music business, Madness exist," singer Graham "Suggs" McPherson told the U.K.'s Sunday Times.
But it's not just mere existence that's on the group's itinerary - we're talking about a stadium tour and a new album, nearly eight years after the band's last record of original material.
“An album that we started recording in 1947,” McPherson told the Times of the new release, “it should be out in 2019.”
Sweet. But who knows where the industry will be by then? The group's manager Gary Blackburn suggests that the group could consider alternative means of distribution, like giving away the album through the newspaper, which seems to be a trend among veteran artists these days.
In December, the group begins a trip through the U.K. arena scene. Dates follow:
December
6 - Aberdeen, Scotland @ P and J Arena
7 - Belfast, Northern Ireland @ Odessy Arena
8 - Liverpool, England @ Aintree Pavilion
10 - Cardiff, Wales @ International Arena
11 - Plymouth, England @ Plymouth Pavilion
12 - Birmingham, England @ The NIA
14 - London, England @ O2 Arena
